About Us

At SigShare.com, sig makers can easily highlight and showcase their talents in a Web 2.0, social setting. Each sig is categorized, keyword and color-tagged, making it a breeze for anyone to browse through our galleries. These sigs can be freely used by anyone for use in their forum profiles*. Apart from sigs, we will also provide resources such as renders, brushes and textures.

Sigshare is just one of the fantastic ideas of Andrew dela Serna of Alleba.com.

What is a Sig?

A SIG is shorthand for signature. It is called such because they are typically meant to "sign" a forum post or article by an author. Some sigs can be in the form of text, but nowadays many are images that are intricately designed to show the author's personality.

A Little Bit of History

SigShare.com was spun from an idea of my friend RJ while we were talking about sigs over IM. He introduced me to his friend, Inigo (aka Schneider), who's a Filipino sig maker. After several discussions with them, I decided to come up with a site dedicated to sigs. But it took quite a while before that happened. There were two initial attempts that didn't live up to my standards, so I junked those and decided to really think about what I want for the site and what features I'd include. So I put together a team of programmers from Spyro Interactive and worked with them until we created a top-notch product.

When the site was just getting started, two excellent sig makers came on board as part of our graphics team:

Mark Joseph Paje (aka huMAC), who describes himself as a 3D Machine Operator. He's from the Philippines and a member of DotaPortal.com's Graphics Team.

Alson Kaw (aka The.Raven) is from Singapore and the Graphics Moderator for DotaStrategy.com. He also handles other forums such as SgForums and Xfireplus. He's a freelance web designer, graphic artist, student and the webmaster of Death-trap.uni.cc.

Romeo Franco Artista (aka wildquaker), apart from creating cool sigs, is an IT developer based in Las Pinas City in the Philippines.

Please excuse our appearance right now as we are currently completing the site. But thanks for visiting and we hope to have you as one of our members soon! If you haven't already done so, click here to register.
