Same comment as headtrip..i don't think theres that much smudging in it though..

that bg is simply smudging and maybe masking. Then changing the blend and duplicate then move :)

Ah, light source. You got me there. I'm don't really add them in my sigs. Maybe I should try sometime.

well, i like this site too. Quite a fresh site as it's MADE for graphics. Sort of like deviantART but well... the name lacks a little "OOMPH" though.

I think this piece is really good. It was created for me by Schneider. I've yet to figure out how to do that kind of background.

not bad. But the background isnt very.... enticing. the C4D's contrast is not very good. Too bright. and it doesnt really blend well with the sig. The render could be further enhanced with filters and also it lacks a light source.
Great piece overall.
